For many years STEELE AWAY FARM has been the home of many national champion hunters and jumpers.

Until his death in 2005, we stood the beautiful pinto Dutch stallion, Domino, and bred him to mares throughout the country.  We continue to offer a limited number of frozen semen breedings and promote his offspring in the many arenas of the horse world. Domino is pictured below with trainer,  Peter Pletcher.

In addition to our interest in the hunter, jumper, dressage, and eventing worlds, we  are home to 2 miniature horses, Itty and Bitty. These 2 mini's, as well as other Steele Away Farm horses, are the subject of  a series of children's books written by Nancy Carpenter Czerw and illustrated by Rose Berlin and published out of New York City by McWitty Press.

Itty and Bitty, along with our other mini, "What Knot", have lived here for  many years. They are local celebrities who visit  Texas hospitals, schools, civic events, and  book signings at local book stores, to the delight of their many small fans.  To read more about their adventures on our website click on the picture below!
